The Alkoomi vineyards have been established over a number of years,dating back to 1971.The result is that there are 10 separate blocks of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon. As a result, the wine produced has many layers of complexity given to it by the various blocks in the blend. The wine matured in twenty percent new French oak for 12 months before bottling. On the palate, Cassis flavours continue on the medium bodied palate, cool climate, acidity that carries the fine-grained tannin structure to a long finish.
