This is a champagne with great qualities as a wine. It isrich and generous, with a full body and a seductive texture.There is aglow to the golden robe. The tiny bubbles rise at a leisurely pace.

It gives an intense and intensely appetising impression atfirst sniff. It initially offers up aromas of gingerbread, hazelnuts, candied fruits, nutmeg and cinnamon. These are followed by morel mushrooms, coffee and raisins. The bouquet of tertiary aromas are highly complex.

The initial impression is well rounded and full. The body is expansive, rich and warm. The bubbles blend into it and harmonise ideally with the sugar content. The overall effect is a velvety texture that is highly enticing. The finish is not just enjoyable but very long at 10 to 12 seconds. It leaves an acidic taste with hints of tannin.
